Hello everyone, welcome back to my channel. Today, I'm going to show you how to make delicious homemade Japanese Curry Bread. This crispy and savory treat is perfect for a snack, breakfast or quick meal.
Part 1: This is step by step instructions on how to make bread dough using the bread machine method.
Ingredients:
Step 1 - 1 Egg, beaten
Step 2 - 6oz: Whole Milk
Step 3 - 2oz: Melted Salt Butter
Step 4 - 2 tsp: Sugar
Step 5 - 1/2 tsp: Salt
Step 6 - 350g: Bread Flour
Step 7 - 1 tbsp: Dry Milk Powdered
Step 8 - 1 tsp: Bread Machine Yeast or Instant Yeast
Instructions:
1. In the bread machine container, please place the ingredients by the following order from 1 to 8.
2. Based on the steps, we place wet ingredients first then dry ingredients later.
3. Close the bread machine lid, set start the "dough" cycle (it will takes about 1 hour and 30 mins).
4. Once the dough is done, which means the first rise is complete and is ready for use.
5. Remove the dough from the container and knead it for few seconds. Then, you can shape the dough for making your desire bread recipe.
Part 2: Curry Filling
Ingredients:
1 Pack: Ground Beef
1 Cup: Carrot
1 Cup: Yellow Onion
4-5 Mini Potatoes
Japanese Ready-Made Curry Roux
540ml: Water
Instructions:
1. Brown the ground beef with olive oil and then drain any fat.
2. Add the ingredients along with the diced carrots, onions, potatoes. Cook them until tender.
3. Add the ready-made curry roux.
4. Add water and and stir until completely melted.
5. Reduce heat, cover and simmer approx. 10 mins.
6. Transfer the curry filling to a bowl, let it cool down to room temperature.
Part 3: Japanese Curry Bread
Instructions:
1. Next, we'll take our bread dough and fill it with the curry mixture.
2. Flatten the dough to remove air bubbles and then divide into pieces.
3. Add the filling, firmly pinch the dough to seal it tightly.
4. Repeat with remaining pieces.
5. Cover the curry bread dough and let them rest for about 15 mins.
6. Panko Coating - place the curry bread dough into the milk, turn to coat. Next press lightly into the panko.
7. Next, fry up the curry bread in hot oil until it's golden and crispy on the outside.
