Shrimp & Mussels Fettuccine with Garlic and Tomatoes Sauce

Ingredients:
  • A pack of frozen marinated mussels
  • 10 Shrimp
  • 1 lb: Fettuccine pasta
  • 1 tbsp: Olive oil
  • 2 tbsp: Butter
  • 1 tbsp: Garlic
  • 1 tsp: Red pepper flakes
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Parsley
Instructions:
  1. Cook fettuccine pasta.
  2. Cook the frozen marinated mussels in a saucepan for about 10 minutes or until the mussels open wide.
  3. Transfer the cooked mussels to a plate, set aside. Be sure to keep the tomato garlic sauce.
  4. Rinse the shrimp, remove the black vein along the back of the shrimps.
  5. Keep the shrimp heads as it can add more flavor to the dish when cooking, it is optional.
  6. Heat olive oil and butter in a pan, add garlic and red pepper flakes, cook until fragrant.
  7. Add the shrimp heads and stir for about 1 minutes, then add the shrimps and cook until they turn pink.
  8. Remove the heads and transfer the shrimp to the plate, set aside.
  9. Do not drain the oil from the cooking pan, directly add the tomato and garlic sauce and bring to a boil.
  10. Stir in fettuccine pasta and cook for a minute.
  11. Return the shrimp and mussels and stir fry for about 2 minutes or until heated through.
  12. Garnish with parsley, then salt and black pepper to taste.
  13. Serve.
