Chinese chives are one of my favorite vegetable, it is very delicious.
You can eat them in many different ways, and it makes good dumplings.
I often use them to cook different type of dishes, you can cook with scramble eggs or making soup.
However, this vegetable usually not selling at the local grocery store but Asian market place.
So, I decided to grow my own chives vegetable and I swear, it is very easy.
If I can do it, you can do it.
Let's start your organic lifestyle and farming too.
I don't usually wait for the chives to bloom because I used the leaves to cook dishes
Ingredients:
- A pack of ground chicken
- Chinese chives
- Wonton wrap or other type of dumplings wrap
- Chicken broth
Marinade Sauce:
- 2 tsp: Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp: Sugar
- 1 tsp: Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp: Sesame Oil
- 1/2 tsp: Salt
- 1/2 tsp: Black or White Pepper
- 1 tbsp: Water
- 1 tbsp: Corn Starch
- Wash the chives and get them really clean, chop them very finely.
- Then stir together the chives and ground chicken with the marinade sauce until very well combined.
- For the best result, store it in the fridge for 30 minutes before wrap the dumplings.
- Bring 1 cup of water and 2 cups of chicken broth to boil, drop the dumplings in and cook.
- When you see the dumplings float to the top, let them cook for another minute until cooked through.
- Pinch of salt to the soup to taste.
- Serve with soy sauce or chili sauce of your choice.
